As an intern for the Child Abuse Council of the Quad Cities, a subsidiary organization of Prevent Child Abuse America, Holly Alguire, Eta Beta-Bradley, helps promote the council and advertise its events. Shelby Wilson of Zeta Omega chapter is the University of Memphis' executive director of Up 'til Dawn, a nationwide, student-run program originally founded at U of M to raise funds and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Carley Wahlborg is the creator of "SoleSisters" at Louisiana State University; beginning as a fundraising event for Epsilon chapter and later expanding to a running group open to all sororities, the team participates in local runs with proceeds benefiting Girls on the Run of Greater Baton Rouge. It raised roughly $1,500 through Louisiana Half-Marathon participation and has helped to create a link among LSU's Greek women. Playing with Haitian children is Allie Adger, Alpha Chi-Louisiana Tech, who spent last summer helping to build a church in Point Sable, Haiti, and attending nightly services with members of the community. Tori Cowen, Kappa Alpha-Florida State, is a member of the FSU Golden Girls dance team and performs at football games, other sports venues and various events on campus. Alpha Epsilon Maggie Belew is a majorette for the University of Tennessee/Knoxville, as well as the owner and coach of Maggie's Majorettes twirling/dance program and choreographer for the Greenfield Jackettes. Alpha Phi Kelly Heffern is field commander for the Westminster College marching band. As a member of Proclamation, Zeta Beta Caisie Jordan is one of the top 18 singers at Union University, performing in a variety of venues in the U.S. and internationally. Zeta Sigma Paige Mitchell is captain of the College of Charleston cheer squad and a three-year member of the college cheer team. Gamma Xi singers Jonna Capone, left, and Virginia Weant represent Kentucky Wesleyan College in the National Association of Teachers vocal competition at the University of Evansville. Gamma Delta Forrest Bailey travels to New York with the East Tennessee State University choir to sing in the world's largest cathedral, Saint John the Divine. Epsilon Rho athlete Katie Flaschner is captain of the University of Rochester Yellow Jackets field hockey team. A new kitchen for Auburn University's College of Human Sciences is based on an interior design created by Sigma Lambda Ashley Brady. Erica Fontana is proud to display the Dean's Trophy won by Beta Rho chapter during San Diego State University's Homecoming celebration; the trophy reflects her hard work documenting the chapter's community service hours, events hosted, and more. Zeta Kappa Jennifer Prandato is one of a team of student journalists from Ball State University who spent last summer in England covering the Olympics for on-site media, including the Tribune companies, the Huffington Post and USA Today. Delta Zeta Samantha Craig serves as treasurer on the executive board of the University of Louisiana/Monroe Student Government Association. Two Eta Epsilon KDs, Taylor Stavely and Ashley Block, receive the Yateman Award for their biology research at the University of the South/Sewanee. Alpha Iota Autumn Barnes serves UCLA as a general representative on the Undergraduate Students Association Council, as well as director of special events for the Pediatric AIDS Coalition, director of student sexual health, and care extender in pediatrics and the emergency room at Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Katherine Lindsay enjoys her ride as one of two KDs on Eastern Kentucky University's Homecoming court. Fellow Delta Omicron Morgan Anderson was also a nominee. Thanks to active support and sponsorship from the KD chapter, Delta Omega Caty Steele is named Homecoming queen at Mississippi State University; through this competition the sponsoring sororities raised $6,000 for the MSU Student Relief Fund. Delta Betas Katie Murphy and Caity Niemczyk compete for Eastern Illinois University Homecoming queen and princess titles; Katie was named runner-up princess. Sigma Kappa Kelly Dugan represents Kappa Delta as a member of The Ohio State University's 100th Homecoming court. Beta Sigma Claire Dulaney is Homecoming queen for the University of Southern Mississippi. Epsilon Iota KDs are named three of the top five Homecoming royalty during the 101st Homecoming at the University of Missouri: Jessica Loos, Kelsey Lammy and Helena Kooi. Thanks in part to her work on the campus intramurals program, Delta Pi Amy Burns is named to Middle Tennessee State University's Homecoming court. As an intern for the Craft & Hobby Association, Paige Sjoblom, Beta Delta-Utah State, meets craft-industry celebrity Tim Holtz while attending a trade show in Chicago. Beta Kappa Tiffany Walpole is part of the Northwestern Mutual internship program and a Mortar Board member at the University of Tennessee/ Chattanooga. Beta Zetas Jessica Nemmers and Harriet Kneece are students in the competitive College of Pharmacy program at the University of South Carolina. Zeta Upsilon-Stephens fashion design student Stacey Silman works as a summer intern in New York City for Shashi Designs jewelry company and Alice & Trixie clothing company, helping with photo shoots, making samples and creating prints, two of which were put into production. Through a public-health internship with Stanford University, Nhu-An Nguyen of Epsilon Lambda- Alabama/Huntsville works at the Asian Liver Center, a nonprofit organization combating liver disease in Asians and Asian Americans through outreach and education, advocacy and research. Delta Mu KDs Kaila Meador, left, and Casey Hendrix are Newberry College nursing students, honored with the school's "Blessing of the Hands" ceremony. Eta Kappa Jenna McGarry is president of the Northeastern University Pre-Dental Association.
