"Kappa Delta helped me build confidence in myself and my potential," says Kim Pickett Jordan, Alpha Chi-Louisiana Tech. "[KD] gave me sisters and connections that have extended beyond college. Women ranging in age are still committed to Kappa Delta's mission because KD continues to be relevant while holding fast to our values, and that's impressive." Kim is proof Kappa Delta is for a lifetime. From serving in leadership roles as a collegian to being an active member of the Richardson/ Plano, Texas, Alumnae Chapter, Kim has stayed involved with Kappa Delta through the years. Her experiences have demonstrated how important it is to invest in Kappa Delta's future so KD sisters may continue to thrive for generations to come. Kim is inspired by those who live selflessly and seek a life of serving others. Investing in her faith, family, career as a construction managing director, and Kappa Delta, a servant's heart is exactly what Kim possesses. One way Kim serves KD is through her employer's workplace giving program, allowing employees to designate gifts from their paycheck to a nonprofit organization. Her company also matches these gifts up to a certain threshold. When Kim saw the Kappa Delta Foundation was an option to support, she says it was a "no-brainer" to enroll in the program. Her payroll deduction gift happens automatically, making it easy for Kim to manage her giving. The company then matches these contributions, doubling the impact of Kim's gift to the foundation. "If anything, I wish I had begun donating like this earlier," Kim says. "I believe in Kappa Delta and am glad my small contribution can be added to the contributions of others to further our endeavors." The collective impact of member donations ensures Kappa Delta continues to build confidence and inspire action in women like Kim and her daughter Kathryn, also a Kappa Delta. "When I think of Kappa Delta," Kim says, "I think of how it has and continues to inspire me and other women to seek the honorable, beautiful and highest things."
