Kappa Delta Executive Director Pamela Nix, left, presents Kappa Delta’s largest donation to date to Prevent Child Abuse America at its conference in Cincinnati on Oct. 18, 2016. The check for $438,191.97 represents 20 percent of the total proceeds Kappa Deltas raised at Shamrock events nationwide. Eighty percent of the monies raised stayed in the communities to support local child abuse prevention efforts. Joining Pamela for the check presentation were members of Eta Eta-Northern Kentucky and PCA America’s new president and CEO, Dan Duffy. For information about the history of Kappa Delta’s support of the prevention of child abuse, turn to page 52. x This past fall, Kappa Delta launched Coffee and Confidence , a blog series that provides engaging educational content for collegiate and alumnae members. Each month, the blog focuses on a different topic that is important or timely to Kappa Delta women, such as personal safety, professional development, financial literacy and health and wellness.
