AS TOLD TO AUDREY WAGGONER, FOUNDATION COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

When going through recruitment, I chose Kappa Delta for the immediate and meaningful connections I felt with the women of Omega Xi. Since I joined, I have been blessed with friends, leadership opportunities and philanthropic experiences. Some of my dearest friends are Kappa Deltas, from the ones I met in college to alumnae life.

I have had the pleasure to serve Kappa Delta through chapter advisory boards and my alumnae chapter. Through the years, building relationships with sisters of all ages and walks of life has remained my favorite part of volunteering for KD. It makes my heart happy to support collegians and alumnae alike, as we all strive to build a greater and better Kappa Delta.

I received a scholarship from the foundation when I was pursuing my degrees, and I want to give back to ensure scholarships are funded for future generations. I have included Kappa Delta in my will because KD continues to be a meaningful part of my life. Our friendship and sisterhood is a true gift to be celebrated, and I am thankful for all the support I've been given over the years by my KD sisters. My husband, Steven, and I are inspired to "do good and share with others" (Hebrews 13:16), and he supports Kappa Delta with me.

My membership in the Dorothea Cavin Society* is important to me. Knowing I will leave a legacy makes me smile. I am glad to be able to include Kappa Delta in my past, present and future.

It amazes me to think about how our founders chose the words and sentiments of our Ritual. When I end each day in prayer, I ask for blessings for KDs everywhere.
